ATO review of ABN’s Committee information 2017

Recently we have received a number of enquiries regarding the current review that the Australian Business Register/Australian Taxation Office is conducting, via a letter requesting that all businesses with an ABN review the information and if it is incorrect to update.  These letters are to do with the ABN’s for the Parent advisory Group Committee’s incorporated entity.   

If the details are out of date e.g. postal address, location email and business location phone number, the Committees are required to update these details.   

In most cases, the ABNs were set up when the Committees were managing and operating the preschools therefore the Auskey or the myGov username and passwords may not have been set up to be able to change these details. 

Jean Giles (Finance Manager) has contacted the Australian Business Register Office to clarify the best way forward when there is no Auskey or myGov set up.
